Become a Board Member

We are still looking to fill the position of T-Ball Director. We have experienced members who will help guide you through the season.

If you are interested in joining the board and helping mold the programs that we offer, please reach out to myself or any board member. It takes a strong group of passionate people volunteering their time to put together a great season for the kids.

Regards,
Michael Sanfilippo
VBA President

T-Ball baseball is meant for kids born in either 2017 or 2018. The goal of this division is to teach players the fundamentals & rules of baseball in a fun & positive environment. This will be accomplished with a combined practice & game twice per week during the season.

2024 Schedule & Format: Tuesday & Thursday nights from April 11 through June 20

Players should arrive at the fields at 5:45 PM
Teams Practice from 6:00 - 6:30 PM
Break / Set-up for Game 6:30 - 6:40 PM
Games will run from 6:40 - 7:15 PM

Early in the season, all players will hit off a batting tee during games. Later in the season a pitching machine and or adult live pitching can be introduced to all T-Ball games. Experienced 2nd-year T-Ball players, who played last season, may want to consider applying to move up to the 9U (Tadpole) division, where pitching machines will be used consistently at the start of the season.

Each team will likely have 11-12 players of varying baseball abilities & experience. Throughout the season all players will be given the opportunity to play every position on the field and bat in various spots in the order.

Parental Information: Parents must remain at the field at all times, no drop-offs The conduct & well-being of their player are the responsibility of the parent(s) while at the field Parent helpers are needed at this age. Parents are expected to help from time to time. Don’t wait to be asked by the coaches just jump right in.

Player and team equipment provided for T-ball players: hats, jerseys, balls, bats, and tees. T- Ball parents please provide your player with a helmet, glove, cleats, or shoes, and baseball pants or long pants. Click the equipment tab for more information.

Vernon Baseball needs coaches and parent helpers to keep our season going. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the sport of baseball and give back to your community. Please contact the current T-Ball Director if interested.
