Vernon Baseball is looking forward to another successful season of baseball in 2023. We would like to thank everyone new for signing up as coaches and assistants and to all of those returning as coaches and assistants for the upcoming season.

At Vernon Baseball it is our goal to support you in implementing consistent coaching to our young athletes. We have outlined the role of Coach and put together a Coaching Package that will help in kicking off the season successfully. In addition, we have created a Standard Practice Plan for the 7U and 9U levels. These are great packages to review and implement for those coaches just starting out.

Also included in the Coaching Package you will find our Code of Conduct guidelines for all of our Coaches, Parents and Players. Be sure to review each of these prior to the season and include a brief review with your players and parents during your first team meeting. Fair play and creating a positive environment for our kids to learn, grow and have fun is our most important role as leaders.

Coaches Training

BC Baseball is always revamping the coaching training across the province. As new information is released, we will update our website with relevant information and links.

Criminal Record Checks "ECRC" are valid for 2 years. All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and parent helpers are required to complete an ECRC before they hit the field. It is now done electronically via a secure web link. If it is your first time using this process or you are entering your "Service #”, just follow the guidelines in the link below. There is no charge for this new service. If you have any questions about the requirements for acceptance or a negative result on an ECRC please review the Risk Management Policy. All information is private and you will be notified if there is an issue.
