Pitch - Hit & Run paired up with Picture Day at Marshall Field this Saturday

We’re excited to announce that Vernon Baseball is hosting the Pitch Hit & Run event again this year, sponsored by Major League Baseball (MLB)!

This event is the perfect opportunity for players to showcase their hitting, pitching, and running skills! Participants will compete in three challenges, with their performance scored and evaluated. The top scorer in each age division will move on to a national competition and, potentially, even the World Series Game!

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, May 10th, 2025
  • Time: 10.00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: Marshal Fields Bantam Field (Picture Day)

Age Divisions:

  • 7-8 Age Division
  • 9-10 Age Division
  • 11-12 Age Division
  • 13-14 Age Division

How It Works:

  1. Compete in 3 Events: Pitching, Hitting, and Running
  2. Scores are Calculated: After all events, each player's score is tallied.
  3. Top Scores Move On: The player with the highest score in each age group will compete for the national title!
  4. National Pool: Top scorers from all regions will enter a pool of players from across Canada.
  5. Team Competition in Toronto: The best players will move on to compete in Toronto at a Blue Jays game!
  6. World Series Game: The top performers will go on to compete at the World Series!

Eligibility:

  • Players aged 7-14 as of November 15, 2025, are eligible to compete for a chance to advance to the national level.
  • Sign-Up Required: Players who wish to officially compete must register online via MLB Pitch Hit & Run Registration.
  •
  • Not Eligible by Age? No worries! You can still participate and compete at the local level. You won’t need to register online, but your achievements will be celebrated within the community. However, those players will not be eligible to advance.

Let’s make this event a huge success and show off the skills of Vernon Baseball’s next generation of players!

See you at the field!

Best,
Carl Vardon
