2010 Winter Skills Camp

The Vernon ANAF Diamondbacks are proud to announce their 3rd Annual Baseball Winter Skills camp. A perfect idea for a stocking-stuffer!

The D-backs will run 2 sessions this year at the Priest Valley Gym. One Camp will run from 10:00 - 11:30 am for ballplayers enrolled in Mosquito or below for the 2010 season. The 2nd camp will run from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and be for ballplayers enrolled in Pee Wee or above for the 2010 season. The camps will begin on Saturday January 9th, and run for 10 weeks, with the last session being March 13th.

Cost of this camp is $65 per player. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt, and have a chance at weekly draw prizes. For further information or to register, you can contact Head Camp Director Oggie Ortman at (250) 275-7619.

Winter ball and the team selection process will start for the 2010 AAA Okanagan Bantam team (born in 1995 or 96) and the new Okanagan Junior. Premier team (born in 1994 or 93) this January.

Winter ball runs from the first week of January to the end of March. The team selection process will run for the month of January. The cost for winter ball is $200.00 for Bantam and $250.00 for Junior Premier. If you are not selected to play on the team you will be issued a refund of $100.00 for Bantam or $150.00 for Junior Premier at the end of January when the team is selected.

The schedule for Junior Premier winter ball is:

Sunday at CNC from 7:00-10:00 starting January 3
Monday at Twist 5:30-8:00 starting January 11
Tuesday, pitchers only at Elks batting cages times TBA
Wednesday 6:00-8:00 at the Elks batting cage starting on January 6
Thursday at CNC from 3:45-5:45 starting on January 7

The schedule for the Bantam AAA winter ball is:
