2010 Schedule:
Monday & Wednesday Nights April 19th June 23rd
- Players to arrive at the fields by 5:45 PM
- Practice & Games from 6:00 7:30 PM
- Play at various fields located in Vernon & Lavington
Special Event Dates:
- April 10th Evaluations at Lakeview Park
- May 24th No Baseball / Victoria Day
- May 30th, June 6th & 13th - Sunday Classic Games
Each team will play one game on a Sunday
- June 7th - Rally Cap Player Evaluation Night
Format:
- April Starting the season team practices will be held to teach the fundamentals of baseball.
- Early May - Games will be introduced using a combination of batting tees and kid-friendly pitching machines with every player getting the opportunity to hit each inning.
- Late May Games utilizing the pitching machines for all innings with 3 strike & 3 out baseball rules.
Skill Sessions:
- Optional for all players interested.
- Tentatively planned each Sundays from 4 5:30 PM,
May 2nd June 13th.
- Emphasis on advanced skill development in regards to hitting, fielding, catching & pitching.
Summer All-Star Team:
- We would like to field a team to play regulation baseball during the month of July.
- This is a kid pitch format using hard balls, full gear & uniforms and umpires calling the games.
- This commitment will include 2 practices / week and weekend tournaments in Vernon and the surrounding communities.
